Argentine Tango
I discovered Argentine Tango in 1997 and haven't stop dancing since. I've been dancing both roles, lead and follow, socially since that time. Within a year of my first dance lesson I traveled to Buenos Aires to immerse myself in the culture of an age old dance. I've studied with many masters in Argentina, Europe, and the United States. Lucianna Valle, Florencia Tachetti, Cecilia Gonzalez, Fabia Salas, Jose Garofalo, Felipe Martinez, Sharna Fabiano and Alex Krebs to name a few. I now spend my time dancing, teaching and hosting in Portland, Oregon where I live and get to experience, in my opinion, the best tango city around!
"Tango is the perfect blend of masculine and feminine. It is about balance, energy and connecting to your core. It's intimacy with boundaries."
Portland hosts two of the largest Tango festivals in the United States. The Tangofest in October and Valentango in February. Find out more about Portland Tango Community at PortlandTango.com.
